Could have been a situation where thieves opened it realized its not gold or something of value that a non collector would recognize as valuable (you said Ikes and kennedys and sba's ) and placed it back in. Basically not worth risk of being caught for non valuable (at least to them) stuff.

I agree about having the Summer ANA show in Chicago full time for all the reasons stated. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), I will miss the Oklahoma City ANA (first time missing the summer ANA in over 20 years!) because I only fly out of Orange County/John Wayne airport since it is only 5 miles from my home and easy for my hubby to drop me off/pick me up, and LAX is over an hour away depending on the time of day and way too messy and inconvenient. So when I looked at flights to Oklahoma City from OC, I discovered that the connecting flights were all on small "puddle jumper" planes which means I could not take my coins onto the plane and would have to check them. Big deal breaker! I was already leery that this show would not be very active sales-wise, so the plane issue decided it for me.
