Do I take it that some of these coins (privy or non-privy) have blemishes in the otherwise perfect ink-jet black fields ?Or is that just the photos or holder showing them ?
Many 70's(to a degree)have planchet blemishes, as well as post struck debris(from the removal of collar dies)that have "dusted" some areas on those beautiful DCAM surfaces imo.
No 70 is a perfect 70.

Great post! The only thing I'll point out that makes it really hard to draw any conclusions from the data is selection bias. Until a few years ago, rejections were free so the data was perhaps more representative of the coin population although still I'm sure collectors and dealers would refrain from submitting obvious "C" material. Now that rejections have a decent fee associated with them, definitely only material that has a chance of stickering is being submitted for the most part or as a general rule.
I think your assumption of dealers is incorrect because I'm aware of many dealers who are not great at grading and submit in hopes of getting lucky.
Re: The season for Gold Certificates coming to FUN auction
The 1905 $20 Technicolor has insane colors and may be the absolute nicest I’ve ever seen. Breathtaking note, simply incredible.

Pair of recent acquisitions courtesy of DLRC and GFRC. Both fill difficult holes in the set and appear truer in hand to their in-slab view in appearance than the CAC image secure view.
Lovely coins
I find that slab shots in general more accurately represent a coin than glamour shots.
