Strong
Don’t like the slab (way it feels/looks)= won’t buy them.

I think it is also interesting that the 2024 flowing hair dies themselves, were the first US Mint dies that were laser engraved. I am guessing all future dies will be done this way?
I hope so, the state quarter dies were a disappointment. I ended up scraping the ones I had during a move.
Re: Help me date a well worn Lincoln cent
My guess is that if a 1909-S were less valuable than other possible dates, you wouldn’t even consider it as an option. Where do you see any hint of a 0 in the date?
Re: Rickey
I was hoping it wasn’t true. Got a text this morning saying Rickey had died from pneumonia. Bummer. Really nice guy.
Re: Thoughts on these 1948 Leaf Jackie Robinson RCs PSA-5 or PSA-6...which do you Like?
The centering is a off on the 6 but it is also a little off on the 5. The corners are about the same on both cards. The printing on the 5 would turn me off. To me, the the 6 is a better looking card.
Re: Thoughts on these 1948 Leaf Jackie Robinson RCs PSA-5 or PSA-6...which do you Like?
The 6 looks to be just a tad more vibrant with slightly cleaner fields. It might just turn on pricing point differences and which card represents the better value. Both of them look attractive to me.
Re: Tilted cards in PSA holders
It's amazing to me that after 35 years of being the leader in the industry that this is the finished product we are getting in 2024? BGS and SGC no problems but PSA continues to make their product uglier and worse! When I questioned why my cards look like they had oil spills on them I got some scientific reason called Newtons Ring? I am a card collector not a science teacher! Now we are making excuses for them again! Can we just call it like we see it and say this is garbage and ugly? Why are the rails so fat? Why are the cards tilted? Why does it look like there is oil rings? Why when I send a card in to be fixed I get it back like this?Honestly I should have just minded my own business and left it like it was! It actually looked better mislabeled and honestly that top left corner looks a lot whiter now !! So much for that 235 bucks! They really should console their little brother SGC and have them fix their plastic sleeve problems!!!
Re: GTG - 1835 Classic Head Half Eagle SLAB POSTED at bottom of thread
I love the look of this coin because to me it just looks so wholesome. Just how old circulated gold should look, in my mind.
I am not a student of the series, but I think part of the portrait weakness is somewhat strike related, and the relief and design has held up pretty well overall, so I'm going to guess VF35.
Re: FUN Show dealers . . .
You should be able to easily find all those on eBay, Collectors Corner and Great Collections.
