Slab guys...take a look at this one (odd PCGS insert) UPDATE

I haven't seen this one before. Perhaps it's a first generation world coin slab?
Update: a few folks suggested I post this on the Q&A forum. Here's the link: Hall's response

<< <i>6D? what is the denomination of the coin ? >>
I would guess 6d -- think "darkside".

<< <i>Nencoin, thanks for the answer - But still 6D abbreviation for 6 Pence, I dont see the connection. >>
d = denarius, essentially Latin for penny.

I believe the British 'penny' was originally based on the Roman 'denarius.' Hence, the 'd' abbreviation.

<< <i>I don't think it's tampered with I think it's totally counterfeit. Come on, even HRH doesn't recognize it. >>
I can't imagine someone going through the trouble of perfecting a replication of the PCGS hologram, but not even coming close to replicating the insert, so that they can pass off a fairly inexpensive coin as a PCGS graded com. The coin pictured is a PCGS product - just one that apparently no one here has seen before. A discovery slab!
