I have an announcement to make - I am PCGS's new photographer

On Thursday, April 14th 2005 I left England. Indefinitely. I arrived in Canada the same day and returned to my parent's house... but I didn't stay for very long. A week later I left again and I'm now at my new destination, my new life. In California.
Today I started my new job; my boss is none other than homerunhall and my colleagues include the illustrious carolj. That's right, my new employer is PCGS. I am their new coin photographer.
On April 3rd I flew to LA for the interview and met the wonderful people at CU. I also fell in love with the area, lounged on the beach (for you Open Forum members: look at the sunburn on my chest in the bowling picture), and was surprised how friendly people in the area were. And oh! The coins I saw!
This is an opportunity I could not pass up.
I went back to England for a week, packed up my things, the housemates sent me off, wished me well and told me they'd be visiting me in "the O.C.".
After literally searching the world for gainful employment for a great while I've finally landed something perfect. I can't wait to get to work and produce amazing results for PCGS.
Some of you on the US coin forum may not know me. I'm not a frequent visitor here, I'm more of a Darkside man myself. But I assure you I'll do my best to give you best images of US coins possible.

If you need an assistant please contact me.
I’d be useless on the photography and wouldn’t serve any purpose, but I’d like to look at the coins that get graded. Maybe I could take them out of the box and hand them to you (but your work might slow down a bit)

It's fantastic how many forum members have landed jobs in the business, going all the way back to Toningintheblood.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
