If the issue is milk spots, they can appear on proofs as well. I received a group of 5 in '01 from the mint. One now has a couple spots in the field. I'm thinking of using it as a pocket piece, or just giving it to my 6 year old. -

I have a complete set of MS and working on a PF. The main problem with the coins is the damn milk spots. When these are present the coin really looks bad. Same problem with the chinese panda's only they don't spot you get a haze on the entire coin. -

I sold mine about two months ago for $2200, but it was statring with those milk spots. I thought it was time to take the money and run. I actually sold my complete set. About 1/3 had spots. Broke my heart. -

As far as NGC registry goes I think it is now more meaningless than ever. Just recently the number one Eisenhower Proof Silver set (which has only 5 slots) and consisted of all 5 coins in NGC Pf 69 Star Ultra Cameo was beat by a PCGS set that had all 5 coins in PCGS Pf 70 DCam. Never mind NGC doesn't grade proof 70's for… -

1. What do I hold my coins with (type of glove), when transferring them to the flips? Clean bare hands. Handle only by the edges. For lifting proofs out of sets I use flips to gently lift an edge. 2.
