Results of PCGS re-grades from 2 invoices - for informational purposes and to make a point.....

This post isn't about complaining or gloating over PCGS re-grade results. Darn, there goes most of the potential fun and any shot at a 100 reply thread. However, it is being presented for informational purposes and to make a point about PCGS re-grade submissions..... Below are the re-grade results for two invoices… -
2007 2 Coin Platinum Anniversary $50 reverse proof coin set final mintage.
Hi anyone know the final mintage that was released and sold of the 2007 $50 2 coin platinum reverse proof and Proof coin set? I was going through my safety deposit box at the bank today while adding my new 5 ozs of Gold Bullion to the till, I noticed I still had 2 PCGS first strike sets of the 2007 10th annivesary set of… -
Re: Are the 1/2 cent proofs popular in the U.S...they all seem to be pretty scarce to very rare?
halfcentman Thanks!!! They where more for my brother but I guess he will simply stick with vintage comic books I will also stay away from them I prefer 1/2 cents from 1793 to 1811. What is your opinion on the 1831 1/2 cent? The original one I mean. By the way has your book on the 1/2 cents come out yet I would very much… -
Re: Speaking of Commems, give me your thoughts/comments on these 2 Grants, pros & cons of each
On the first coin, I don't mind the toning on the high points. The splotch by the date would bother me. It looks like there may be some ok luster, although Grants often have subpar luster. Overall, coin 1 looks more original than coin 2. On coin number 2, I don't care for the shiny, lighter nature of Grant's portrait at… -

Will someone please call Heritage to have 2 auction listings corrected?
They have 2 1836 Lettered Edge Bust Halves in their current Internet Only Auction. The problem is that they are listed under "Reeded Edge Halves". The 1836 Reeded Edge Half Dollar is a tough coin to find and thus worth substantially more than the Lettered Edge variety. The F-12 example is bid up to $230 and the EF example… -
