Re: 1826/2 Shilling question Back from ANACS
Gut feeling is that the above is an 1826/2 because the bottom left protrusion matches my example. There is a smaller lump sticking out at the bottom right and you should be able to see the right hand side of the 2 between the 6 loop and top arm. It isn't an obvious variety. Pricewise it is difficult to say because so few… -

POP 2 With 0 Finer. $276

1944-D/D Merc MS67FB POP 2 With 0 Finer It isn't too often when you can purchase a Pop 2/0 coin for so cheap. It is really cool to own one of the Finest Known Examples for any coin and this is why I collect the varieties I think. I don't have the bank account to compete with so many great collectors out there so this… -
1981 Type 1/2 question. Lots of pictures!

I'm still thring to figure out the Type 1/ Tupe 2 thing. Got a sealed 5 pack of 1981 Proof Sets in today. My opinion is that the Jefferson is a Type 2, but all the rest are Type 1. The first 6 pictures are one of the mint sets. The next 4 are the Nickels from the other 4 proof sets, and the last one if from a Kennedy in… -
Re: 1922-D Lincoln Cent variations - Share your 1922 Lincoln pics

I have two 1922-D cents. On this circulated coin, the 1 and 9 in the date are much bolder than the 2's. This one's a PCGS MS64RD in an OGH, purchased in Teletrade auction #322 on May 22, 1991 for $139.75. Those were the days! There's a small dark spot below the E in E Pluribus Unum, but it's still a great coin. -

1744 2 reales variety

Hello everyone. I purchased some coins today that I've been showing off - this is one. The seller identified this coin as 1744 over 43, but I think he did this because that is the only variety listed in Krause. Gilboy lists a second, more scarce, variety of 1744/2 - which is what I think this coin actually is. I was hoping…
