Dam... down the crapper it goes... BTW, this is a AH Kennedy. When Ken glanced at it at the Baltimore show, he said it should go PF68... but, I guess he musta missed some things There also does look to be a milk spot on his cheek... oh well... to EBay it will go... -

Don't feel bad, George, I think additional contact with the seller ( "is that a milk spot by the I in Liberty? Could you send a close-up?" ) might have helped the buyer. A 68 cameo accented hair sounds like a nice coin. Any recent ebay sales? Joe -

As I stated ten years ago in this thread, I have a set of ASE's I acquired nine years before that. They are accurately graded. I am sure PCGS slabs would command a higher premium, but I am not interested in selling them. So they sit in an ICG slab box and just look nice - no milk spots. Cheers, RickO -

I remember glad MCM came through I am sure someone else got it. :smile: I just opened a package from them first thing I did was look for milk spots, scratches extra. I think I picked that up that process here. -

Back in my Dansco days, I did proofs for the modern stuff, until I had some problems with milk spots. Just cut up a mint set for your clads. One Roosie I always wanted as a type coin was a 1996-W, but never had one. -

I think this coin might illustrate why it is so difficult to obtain uber-grades for untoned Franklin halves. I don't know the assigned grade, but the easily visible milk spots on the obverse and luster graze on the reverse would likely be tough to see with nice toning sprinkled on the coin.
