Upgrades wanted- Type 1 & Type 2 gold dollars
Hi. I currently have AU58 type examples for the Type 1 and Type 2 gold dollars. I’d like to upgrade both types to MS62 or MS63 (PCGS, NGC, or CACG w/good pix). The population report shows a 1969 Paul Lindblad as having a population of 2. This seller has two of them so it's possible that the population will show 4 when updated. The funny thing is that he has both 9s listed but he has one listed as a 1 of 1. 1969 PSA 9 Paul Lindblad -

The type 1 at least gives me pause but the rims suggest no. Many type 1 Philadelphia coins are hammered. The type 2 is a no. -
Found a "Ghost" Coin: 103 Mintage Gold. Is Israeli Numismatics the most undervalued play right now?

I think the Mint is missing an opportunity on fractionals. I'd love to have a 1/4-ounce buffalo. Maybe others would like a 1/2-ounce, 1/4-ounce, or 1/10-ounce buffalo. I know the Mint made them in 2008. Too bad the Mint doesn't (or isn't allowed to) still produce them. -

Actually, the unc set has 2 coins. And most people don't really care about the silver. So it's really 1 vs 2, not 1 or 2 vs 9. The silver has intrinsic value, and that accounts for part of the price differential. And, 9 is not 8 times 1. But, no, the "value in this set" is really not "the 8 silver coins."
