As you look at the tool box, on the left side, on the table, is that rubber foam tray liner material? If it is, you do not want that near any of your slabbed coins. It reacts with PCGS plastic in a bad way. It will etch milk like spots into the plastic. That is my PSA for the day. I have pics of the damage that stuff… -

I have the follwing years 1990,1991,1993,1998,2000,2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2009,2013-s some have some milk spots while others are clean ON ebay Thanks Brett -

I was a lot of fun opening them, only 1 set has the deaded milk spots on them, the rest were clean!! James didn't mention the 50 odd 1963 sets with CAM/DCAM Frankies!!! -

The Swiss bars come up for auction occasionally on eBay, but not by US sellers. It looks as if Argor also has a "rinse problem" with their bars, quite a few have developed the notorious "milk spots." Great collection though. -

It seems that you need to dip moderns (especially proofs) in acetone or alcohol to stabilize them before you have them slabbed, to prevent the Mint-infested crap (i.e. milk spots) from showing up. -
New return policy for the US Mint??
For the first time EVER, I had to return a product (2025 Proof Set) to the US Mint. One of the quarters had a milky spot. Got the replacement and turns out that the Kennedy Half has a significant smudge between the 2 and the 0 in the date area. Not something I could ever resell and worry that the spot may become worse with… -
what time frame for this grade for this coin?
PCGS won't give the recent 2006-W ASE an MS70 grade, what if all the recent 2006-W's are milk-spot free after a year or three? might that change? Loaded -

Mine was a silver eagle I got for joining at the silver membership level. I think it says “collectors club sample” or something similar. It has milk spots ALL over it, kind of ironic I guess. -

If you are referring to the milk spot problems, the US Mint is not alone with that issue along with Copper bleeding in 90%+ Gold coins. No one has found the perfect solution to eliminate those problems. Perhaps you can. -

I'd say the PCGS would bring more money I'm thinking I read somewhere it has to do with the possibility of milk spots forming on the Silver Eagles that keep them out of PCGS plastic at PF70.
