I hit a shop right before closing and spotted a crusty little 2.5$ Lib. , the coin came home with me. Where have all the high Grades, (PCGS - NGC MS63 and above gone)? I know there are a lot of collectors chasing these things, but they have just disappeared. 1825/4/(2) Capped Bust 25c - PCGS AU58 - Browning 2 variety
Here's a tough one in PCGS 58. The reverse looks mint state and is mostly a highly lustrous blazing white. The obverse has colorful toning near the stars and rim. PCGS price guide is $4000. Priced at $3150 firm. Paypal is ok but fees will be split with buyer. -

OT: Any Rockhounds here? Interesting Rock…
They knocked down a local old house and while looking for coins (2 merc dimes) I noticed a rock that was left behind when the fieldstone foundation was mostly cleared away. About 15”x 9”x9 is is Extremely Heavy it shines with metallic silver grey throughout. It’s not magnetic. Any ideas? -

Finally added a classic $2 1/2 gold piece for my type set!
I know these are not overly difficult as a type, but finding one that hasn't been messed with is tough, graded or not. This piece grades XF-45, has a nice yellow-orange color and plus a green bean to boot. -
