2004 ASE PCGS PR-70DCAM milk spots question
I have a 2004 ASE PCGS PR-70DCAM that has developed milk spots. I have a receipt in which I paid $250 for it. If I send it back to PCGS, will they pay any of that back? Thanks SNMAN -

True Milk spots seem to be permanent, in my experience. I use Metal Safe, a Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI). and dessicant. I use to get large engelhard dessicant packs, but recycle them from packing now. I believe milk spots are a problem that originate is the minting process. -

yes milkspots will not stop pcgs from handing out pr69 or even pr70 grades. milk spots are NOT damage to the coin. you might hate how they look, but the coin is not flawed or damaged. yes, Ive owned pr70 washingtons with milk spots. cheers, Alan Mendelson BestDealsTVshow.com -

I have a MS in an Intercept Shield album Complete. So far over the years the 1993 and the 1991 OBV's each developed milk spots, Since i have several mint rolls of each year to date, i am not to upset about this minor problem. I also have a complete set of Proofs in OGP and all are Perfect condition with no spots or traces… -

I've seen the occasional milk spot on eagles, pandas, phils, etc. but on no other bullion coin is it anywhere near as prevalent as on maples. Has anyone seen the reports on the efforts of the US Mint to solve milk spots?
I am looking for any reports, detailed analysis type, on the problem of milk spots produced by the Mint itself. Anyone ever see any of these? I have a FOIA request into the Treasury Department now, but would like to see any reports that anyone has so I can be sure I use the same terms for the problem that they do. Anyone? -

At what point will TPG's just turn their head in regards to spotting? How many can they buy back? Is PCGS willing to buy back 10's of thousands of over priced, milked crap? I would assume that every 20th Anniversary Set will milk with time.
