The real rush though is on the seller side. Imagine the elation experienced when a $2000 coin is $600 underwater with 8 seconds remaining and suddenly, magically, the price soars to $2400 and the day is saved! -

When I used to buy on ebay (in the good old days), I loved to snipe manually....never lost an item I really wanted - I did sleep through a couple, but that is not losing the bid war. Best snipe was two seconds.... what a rush. Cheers, RickO -

So, I found this Isabella sold by someone here on these forums, decided I wanted it. I initially set my price at 325, but it quickly went up past that!! So, I put in a bid at like 3 minutes out, and soon got beat, then I bit up, back and fourth like 8 times... Man, is this what it really feels like haha????? AHHHHH!!!!… -

I have never used an auction sniper. If I want an item, I put in a protection bid, not a nuke bid. And towards the end I keep ebay on my iphone with a nuke bid loaded to snipe. In all seriousness though, with 99% of ebay items being buy it now, I can't recall the last time I actually had to snipe something. As for the… -
