Re: The OFFICIAL COINSTAR FINDS THREAD
Three days later, same machine and another $1.32 added to the haul..... This time 2 copper cents, 1 cent that looked like someone tried to turn it into a dime and, TADA!!, a 1964 silver dime. If I cashed in both day's haul I could buy a chile relleno and a can of Tecate at my favorite Mexican restaurant. -
Re: The OFFICIAL COINSTAR FINDS THREAD
Got silver today! Must be my lucky day- short to trip to local casino won $120, stopped by grocery store bought a $1 scratch off and won $50, then noticed coins in reject slot and the sight of silver! Ended up mostly Canadian ( I live right on border) but a well circulated 1950 Rosie was in the lot! -
Re: The OFFICIAL COINSTAR FINDS THREAD
OK, so I've seen this thread for a while, pretty much ignored it. But I make it into Walmart about every week, and so for the last 6 weeks or so I've started checking the Coinstar reject slot. So far only picked up about a $1 in misc change, plus a handful of foreigns. But, today, finally got a keeper! -

Re: The OFFICIAL COINSTAR FINDS THREAD

The machine rejected 9 of my Kennedy halves each and every time I put them in. They were not damaged or discolored. I did pour in $160.00 in halves. I… -
Re: The OFFICIAL COINSTAR FINDS THREAD
A user over on Cointalk reported finding a 1/10oz Krugerrand in the Coinstar reject slot back in October. Moreover, if I recall correctly, somebody found an Indian Head $2.50 almost a decade ago. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/coin-star-reject-bin-finds-this-am.367836/ Edit: Scroll down to post #170.… -
Re: The OFFICIAL COINSTAR FINDS THREAD
After a two-month drought, today the local Coinstar machine had a pile in the reject tray. There were about $2 in current US coins, a Chuck E. Cheese token, a car wash token, a New Zealand 10 cents 2006, an Israel 1 new sheqel 5954 (1994), a Hungary 10 forint also 1994, and two old US dimes, a 1964-D and a 1948 (my birth… -
Re: The OFFICIAL COINSTAR FINDS THREAD
In 18 months of checking EVERY CoinStar or similar machine, I have found a total of two coins one time - both 1941 cents. On Sat while traveling in PA I stopped at a supermarket and lo and behold, I hit the jackpot. Over $3 of US and 1 Canadian 5 cent piece. No silver, and mostly recent coins (a tad bizarre that they would…
