The milk spot issue makes the silver eagle sets a dicey investment, especially if they're still in sealed boxes. That said, I'd get them graded and pray they don't come back to you all spotted. -

Dude...that ain't cool. Whats not cool? You would be a fool not to open the box, and take a peak. With all the milk spotting, it would be uncool to have your ASE's BB'd for spots. Just my humble opinion. -

I bet if you live in Arizona that the spotting is severely reduced. BTW I have seen spotting in the original mint packaging as well as in slabs. >> Hmm, that's good to know… -

milk spots have been showing up on perth bullion since about 2010. their recent low premium coins-CROC and FWS have been hit the worst. Some are already seeing spots on this release as well. -

The white spot on the reverse of the dime is reminiscent of milk spots on ASE's.... I do not think it is the same, just the appearance.... A quick dip in Coinserve or similar might remove that without any deleterious effects. Cheers, RickO -
