<< <i>JP---i posted my response to the thread in that thread...the problem is..this guy is a scammer.....my deal was a "shipping error"..nothing to do with scamming anyone! >> I know you're not the scammer. I'm just saying a few of us have been targeted by one. I'm confident you're okay and that lessons are learned, which… -
Re: I'm being scammed and I'd like some advice
<<< but I'm sure once I do it will come back fraudulant >>> I'm "guessing" the chances are 100%. LOL If I were you, I would not communicate with this scammer again in any way, shape or form. As far as reporting it...I hate scammers and would like to see them all in jail, but reporting this would just be a big waste of… -
Re: EBAY rules on dispute
<< <i>"... If you're selling to a scammer DC isn't going to help you anyway. But I guess if you pretend it will you can feel better about it....." /////////////////////////////////////////////// DC does protect against fraudulent INR claims. Re: Anyone ever nailed for transaction interference on eBay?

Not by eBay, but by a scammer I pissed off. He bought some of my items and immeadiately left me negs from a couple of his other fake accounts. It took a couple of weeks, but eBay removed the negs and refunded my final value fees since his address was fake. So I learned don't mess with scammers if you have items for sale -
Re: Interesting new eBay scam.
I first started buying 'stuff' on ebay in the early nineties.... and while there were some scammers then, it was mostly easy to detect and avoid. In the last several years, while there are always entry level scammers, the real experts have sunk to new levels of deceit. I am very selective when buying on ebay... caution… -

Re: 1975 Topps Baseball
Just hope it's not dirty laundry in the box. LOL May very well not be a scam - could be a legit box, but I'm only bidding if I can pick it up and inspect it first before paying for it. Just a note: Texas is known as a state with a lot, and I do mean a lot of scammers, for a variety of reasons, and is I've read the worst… -
Re: Craigslist ARRRRGHH!
On the BadWax.net website, there is a great section where the owner of this website actually emails these people from Craiglist and tries to engage them in a discussion about the value of their cards and then links them to a video of a man burning commons from the late 1980's to show that they have no value. Some of the… -
Re: Observation - many fake coins are being posted here & bst by newbies, wonder why?
I think they fall into two categories: * Newbies who have gotten taken by scammers and don't know enough about what they have bought to realize they were taken. * Professional scammers who are looking for new marks and see this forum as having enough potential to play their game. They are not looking to score on the old… -
Re: My Biggest Hope For The Hobby...
Prior to third party grading, the scammers in the business made buckets full of money based on his dream. Buy nice looking cards with significant but hard to see issues which significantly affect the value and grade of the card. Price them as NM or better cards then shop them around until you find somebody who doesn't know…
