I picked up this 1972 type 2 Ike today. The dealer had it marked as a type 2 so I wasn't able to cherrypick it. I had to shell out $50 for it. -

Don't look at this one as it is not a Type 2 but a Type 3 with either grease filling or a weak strike on the Islands. Carefully examine the photo below and do not just cincentrate on the position of the Islands but also the shape of the State of Florida. Florida has a different shape in all three different types.… -
Quick turn around by PCGS - Date received 1/23, date shipped 2/12

Pretty much all of these are not graded (NG), however definitely considering sending a lot of them in to get graded. There are now 2 of these in MS 67 ?? !!!
This coin came out of the Superior sale May 2006, a PCGS 65. At the time, pop report indicated only 5 graded MS 65 by PCGS. So in 20 years of PCGS history, only 5 made that grade.
