There are now 2 of these in MS 67 ?? !!!

This coin came out of the Superior sale May 2006, a PCGS 65.

At the time, pop report indicated only 5 graded MS 65 by PCGS. So in 20 years of PCGS history, only 5 made that grade.

It stood that way until very recently.

Now I discover today from looking at the pop report that 2 more are now MS 67's !! There are still 5 MS 65's.

How does that happen in the span of 3 years? Where did the MS 67's come from? And 2 of them!? No way, ain't buying it.

or the same coin got a 67, then cracked and got a 67 again (without the owner returning the old label to adjust pop reports)

the way i was reading your post, there were 5 in MS65 then and there are 5 in MS65 now.......in my mind the MS67 (or plural if there is more than one coin) may have just been recently graded and come from an "old time collection" (albeit cliche)

Who in their right mind would crack a 67 and resubmit hoping for an upgrade? IIIII dont think so.

What about an older collection, that was mainly raw was slabbed?

Not every coin on the planet worth a slab, has been slabbed in the past 20 years.

If its solid there is no fear but the hope would be an upgrade, which makes no sense this that is about as far fetched as winning the lottery.
