What is the lowest MS grade assigned to a coin that has gone straight from the mint, to the initial
.......... without having sustained any post mint damage? Has anyone "Made" any better date Lincoln cents in high grade ?
I'm talking about mint marked dates in the teens,twenties or early thirties.I believe it is probably near impossible since the prices are stratospheric.PCGS has been grading copper tighter than a crabs a$$....and that is very,very tight. I may be wrong but I doubt it. Stewart -
Has anyone submitted ONE gold or silver Rev Proof under the quarterly grading special?
If so, please share your results and turn around time (if you have it back already). My silver Rev Proof was received at PCGS yesterday...I wonder if I'll see it before the New Year. I hope this subject isn't taboo - has anyone picked up the NGC Grading Guide?
At a book store recently I saw and picked up the NGC Grading guide for modern US coins. 1st Edition Written by Richard S. Mongomery and David W. Lang. Since I have several books by Lang, I thought this was a pretty good bet to be interesting. It seems to be a nice, but not exceptional reference for how to analyze modern… -
