PSA Graded Starter Sets
Hey All I posted this in another topic and figured I would make my own subject. This probably would not be much help for the up coming registry awards. Presently, I am working on 3 sets from the 1970's. 1971 1975 1978 The sets are completely PSA graded. The 1971 set is completely graded PSA 8 with NQ. I am not sure what I… -
Re: Kirin Province coin help please.
<< <i>My 2nd edition of the 19th century Krause has a picture of this very coin on page 227 but there is no Y# that matches it! Check out Y 182 and 182.1. This coin is not dated. The two characters that you mention as missing, Goldrush, comprise the date. If I had to guess, and this is only a guess, I would say this piece… -

Re: Biggio
I guess I don't strongly disagree with Sheehan's larger point, but he is indeed making a mountain out of a molehill in this case. If playing Biggio meant keeping some young stud second baseman of the future out of the lineup then that's one thing, but Chris Burke is a career .254 hitter who's hitting .231 this year. And… -

We can limit ourselves to the 50 on page one. So which 45 of these are over-dipped/destroyed with burnt out luster?… -
Re: 1854 O Half Dime, V-6 Variety, Die State?
@ yosclimber: Thanks for the further Blythe info to contribute to the sleuthing of this coins Rx. The vertical line clashes or scratches below the left stem and ribbon are raised metal. Not sure from what whether clash or die gouge or something else. @ MrHalfDime: This has been an excellent and illuminating experience.… -

Re: Why such a big deal over Ichiro's hit mark?
Originally posted by: craig44 Sorry JHS, Dallas has this debate in the bag. Yes, knoblauch, lofton and Raines were all superior players. You really don't want to compare ichiro to hof leadoff hitters. He will be left in the dust. As far as normalizing for age, please. It took me awhile to pick myself up off the floor to… -
Re: Does anyone here specialize in early half dimes?
I think what Rich said is clear enough - he has 3 R7 draped bust half dime specimens on his site, so what he has are all definitely (extremely) rare. He didn't say any of this type were common. I agree with you that all draped bust half dime varieties are rare or scarce: Date LM Rarity 1796 1 3 1796 2 6 1797 1 3 1797 2 4…
