Re: Collecting 56T, A newbie's wonderful and woeful journey. (Update: Basic Set Complete 8/30/19)
Thanks Mike. As for the Crowe, learning about this set for the last year, I've kinda figured out the tougher cards and general availability for the grade. I haven't read or found out anything to help me understand why this card to was so much harder to find and pricey than the other SP commons #180-260. I few weeks ago I… -
Re: Post something you bought from poor images that made your jaw drop upon arrival
most of my "poor images, great coin" purchases were toned coins. here are a few nice examples: a GSA dollar, off ebay. seller posted scans that showed almost no color, described it as "the craziest color toned dollar he has ever seen". buy-it-now price: $260. later graded MS64. 1880 Indian head cent. PCGS PR64RB. top 2 are… -
Re: Question on selling a coin at a large coin show
This is a case 100% of what is your time worth. This is only a question you can answer because it is your time. With bid at $280, and assuming the coin is average to + for the grade most offers will be in the $230-$250 range. If you go to one of the big commem dealers like Certified Assets or whomever, you should get an… -

Re: The "boutique" stat. RBI? What is it really? Lets see...
Steve, Most may understand the teammate aspect, but Jaxxr seems to not. RBI produced with an out are counted in those totals. Late innng hitting is also know(Rice wasn't special there at all). So what is your point. Yeah, those are good, but they are accounted for already. So what is the point? But the FAILING TO DRIVE IN… -
Re: Coins in Metz France Museum
(I replied to your World Coin posting, but since you provided me a golden opportunity to show off a little, I'll reply here, too.) Ooooooohhhhhhh.... that is one big ol' FANTASTIC pile of ants! (Antoninianii, for those unfamiliar with the slang). What a great hoard! Thanks for the pictures, Brian! Looks like some very nice… -

Re: the official sports betting thread -- enter at your own risk
@2dueces, Cool. Having the futures bet on the eventual favorite is a much better position to be in. You can bet Bengals ATS, and have a chance to win both bets. Betting money line on Bengals is going to limit you to cashing one ticket. At+165, a $400 bet means $900 profit if Rams win, and $560 if Bengals win. With ATS bet… -
Re: 1928 SHANGHAI 10 DOLLAR BANK OF CHINA
"291fifth" is quite right. Nations often chose which printing companies based either on politics or cost savings. Below are two "2 Gourdes" banknotes from Haiti two years apart: The first, P-254, was printed by the United States Printing Company in 1990 (shown only on the back) and the second, P-260, was printed by TDLR in…
