Re: My thought about the constant talk of grade-flation.
Agreed! The grading company websites used to have multiple images of coins for inspection. Over time you could track coins that raised a grade, or two, by comparing the photos. Guess what? You can not see those images anymore...... Nothing nefarious going on just the markets maturing. After all, there are only so many… -
Re: Is it common for dealers to buy from auctions and sell on the bay?
You're assuming that it is a widget that has a fixed price with little deviation. You'd be hard-pressed to execute the arbitrage with a common date MS-65 Morgan. But for the less clearly priced items, sometimes a coin slips through the cracks. It could be because it is surrounded by "better" coins or "worse" coins.… -

Re: Update ANA/Shepherd lawsuit revised filing lists names, exposes the "dirt"
<< <i> << <i>Why couldn't Simco be revived by Mr Sheperd after he left the ANA? If anything Mr Sheperd was even more well known among collector/dealers because of his tenure as a former ANA executive director. >> For those of you that have the PCGS Calendar, this month's coin, the awesome PCGS MS68+ Antietam Half, and… -
