Re: Three lunkhead thieves can't lug safe
They probably heard about what was in there from the owner while he was in the slammer. I wonder if any of the goods were "ill-gotten" from his previous jobs? That said, if they were all above board, and he had turned his life around, being an ex-con shouldn't have even been mentioned and should have nothing to do with it.… -
Re: Charging extra on the Coin B/S/T Board for Paypal payments
<< <i>Fair or not doesn't matter. It violates their Merchant Agreement. Another common violation is stores posting a minimum price for a CC transaction. That's not permitted, by contract, not by law, either. Only recourse is to file a complaint with MC/Visa. >> Not sure about that...in my State, you can pay your State… -
Re: Spam from putting email address public on Registry?
I don't think the registry pages are trolled by spammers like they are with newsgroups, regular web pages, and ebay. You have to click through three layers of pages to get to one email address. But as someone who gets 400-500 email messages a day, 98% spam, I couldn't say if my spam increased or not after getting on the… -

Re: Are we going to follow the rules set forth above or not? One seller has FOURTEEN threads in the las
<< <i> >> Why not replace the Vintage BST section with an eBay auction section? The Vintage section is deader than dead anyway. Most post their vintage cards on this forum. That way people wanting to see what we're listing on eBay can decide if they want to go there and people posting items for direct sale on here won't… -
Re: Dealers, what is your profit margin?
It is a meaningless question, there is no typical. Just as a single coin trades at a wide range of prices, different dealers conduct their business in different ways. That means the percentage is going to vary widely. At the high percentage end, on a better wheat cent bought in a bulk deal it may be huge. For example, a… -
Re: Disgraceful...

<< <i>One of my very first transactions when I was brand spanking new to eBay involved ebay seller onereg, Jeffrey Garrison. He had tilted the coin just right and utilized lighting to his benefit to disguise what IS definitely the worst example of a whizzed 1932-D Washington Quarter. I'll never forget it. It had scratches… -
Re: Breaking...Antonio Brown story will never end.
Michael Vick was the epitome of how the "hell can you root for the guy." Yeah he spent time in the slammer, but he was sinister as he killed a number of dogs. Adrian Peterson became 1A. Brown is a notch lower if he is cleared in this case. Should never play another down if he is not. I traded pro sports for old rock… -
Re: To THUNDERDAN
<< <i>This just in from the sidelines: Dan did link the card he bought for us, and, that allowed me to check out Novella's items for sale. In business free advertising is a bonus, regardless if it's good or bad. Or in this case part of a spoof (for those that got it) anyway. I wonder how many others did the same as me?… -
Re: Where are my quarter ounce (2006) plats, Mint?

I also am still in the << <i> Your order request is in process 4 units backordered. Expected to ship on 01/29/07 >> category for my 4 - 1/2 oz '06-W Plats. If I do get these Coins one day, I'll be really pleased. If not, then at least I did get in on the 2 - sets and the 5 - 1 oz singles. I guess that's better than being a…
