Re: Piniella wants A-Rod...
With Texas picking up 10 Mill of Rodriguez's salary, nearly every team in the MLB is thinking of trying to trade for ARod. Now, I know he's a great player and he'll go down as one of the greatest ever. But you know, sometimes things just don't work out. I would've loved to see him succeed in the Bronx(come on, him and Jete… -
Summer FUN 2015 Thursday Show Report

It was an uneventful 90 minute drive to the show this morning with my son. Traffic can be tough sometimes but not today thankfully. We got there about 9:15 AM, paid the $10 to park, made the 10 minute walk inside and then to lot viewing. We checked in with the very nice Heritage staff and I viewed about 6 coins or so. One… -
Proof Jefferson Nickels, the early years of 1938-1950, original skin and all!!

I thought I'd post some pictures of the "early years" from my Proof Jefferson Nickels w/Varieties Registry Set. I've bought both raw… -
Re: Card Shops in San Diego

I worked for a while at San Diego Sports Collectibles when they had only one store on 5th Avenue a block west of Balboa Park. There were several shops in San Diego County back in the late 70s/early 1980s. San Diego Sports Collectibles was… -
Please critique my coin photography

I'm working under new lights - a pair of 70w Phillips halogena 'energy saver' lamps (each supposedly equivalent to a 100w incandescent lamp, which I agree with). They produce a somewhat yellower light than my old standby Phillips Natural incandescents, but my camera's custom white balance seems to get along with them a… -

Just Got Back - 1900 Miles in 2 1/2 Days!

Hi I don't mean to be the center of attention but wanted to say hi. My wife's dad died SuperBowl Sunday and was buried in KY yesterday. My wife flew with her mom and my son and I drove - I even got stopped for speeding for the first time in 17 yrs! He gave me a warning. We had a family get together Fri nite - this is my…
