Watch out for this ebay scam
I got a call from a gentleman who was the #3 underbidder on one of my recent ebay items. He received an email from somebody purporting to be "tone lover" offering the coin because the high bidder had backed out. Problem is that the high bidder has not backed out and I sent no such message. The scammer did not send it… -
Re: Ebay Auctions
These types of auctions are worse than the "keyword spammers" who use "BGS/PSA" for their GEM/PRO/other crappy grading co. cards- or worse, ungraded cards. Not to mention the "1/1" spammers like the moron I saw today who used "1/1" to refer to a Mario Austin auto- even though there are 5+ others on EBay now and I own 2.… -
25th anniversary set - Begun, the eBay scams have
So, I sold an opened 25th anniversary set on eBay last week. Buyer gets the package on Saturday and today leaves me negative feedback saying some of the coins were out of their air-tites and one had a rim ding. I have some serious doubts as I packed these things in about a mile of bubble-wrap and they never left the… -
Re: New Minnesota coin law targets shady dealers
Any update on this? A friend in Minnesota was trying to get the people who wrote the law to realize that they screwed up. There were specific complaints...legitimate...about people selling BULLION coins, taking the money and not delivering (similar to Tulving) and the intention was to make these sellers put up a bond to… -
Re: Anyone deal with this Ebayer for unopned material
Thought i'd chime in on this thread with my 2 cents. I've bought from BBCE before and of course, the quality and service is always amazing. However, I have bought much unopened product (all OPC hockey) off of ebay and have never ever had a problem. They have all been 'good' boxes and packs as I've busted them all open to… -
Re: COLLECTION SELL-OFF
First off, you haven't been "harassed" about them, at least by me. I pointed out that you made the initial mistakes and then I also pointed out that you bumped your own thread 3+ times in 1 day instead of editing your posts to give anything updated you wanted. You said " I am not sure how else to get the word out". I give… -
Re: Setting up an auction for one specific buyer
Looks like it is not available in the same format as it was. Trouble with ebook sellers is the rationale. I am still reading. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Search Results Print 107 topics found for pre-approved buyer Posted by Date posted Pre-approved buyers 4pawsllc Dec-03-06 08:41… -
Re: Lessons from: Collectors Rule!
I find it funny, that a dealer and a grading service executive say that the collector rules the market. Can anyone say flattery is a good form of persuasion? The sheep analogy is a good one. There are few independent thinking collectors, in the large herd of sheep. Some of the sheep are old and wise, but still have to… -
Re: 1804 Silver Dollar bidding starts at $3,500.00
I emailed the seller, asking (innocently enough) that if the coin was so valuable, that they should get it certified. The response: We stuck this coin up before we new what was the real worth of the coin. my brother looked it up and then he told me I needed to change the priceing and to put a huge reserve on it. If the… -
Re: Tired of you fruads
What the fudge did you just fudging say to me, you little kid? I'll have you know I graduated top of my grading class from the San Bernardino Young Numismatists Association, and I've been involved in numerous eBay sales and have over 300 confirmed feedback. I am trained in counterfeit detection and I'm the top bid sniper…
