Re: Red Sox and Sale after 12 games
I watch it on channel 628 which is NESN. I have not even used the MLB channels because I don't watch any other teams but the Red Sox. My tv is a 75 inch LG and the picture is great so do not really care about the 4K as I don't want to fool around and screw up the picture I have and am happy with. Electronics are not my bag… -
Re: Is this number good or bad for the hobby ?
I know this is a mainly a vintage baseball board but the modern hobby does bring in new blood. In the long run, having more hobbyists is better for the overall health of sportscards. If you looks at the 1 million PSA 10's, 80% of them come from 6-7 products out of 628. Prizm alone is almost 30% of the PSA 10's. Mosaic,… -
Re: Why did they strike this pattern?
The uspatterns.com website notes that many of the larger planchet versions have reeded edges. Perhaps the mint wanted to illustrate what reeding on a 5c piece would look like, but the smallest collar die with reeding larger than a nickel was the quarter collar. Howard - Although the vast majority of these coins have plain… -
Re: The 2009 Red Sox Championship run thread
The Red Sox game denied to me again this Saturday. I even got NESN from Directv to back up my MLB extra innings package, which didn't have the game. Then I see the Braves-Phillies on the National Channel. I go to NESN ( chan 628) and is says "game not available in your area"! What??? I'm at least 300 miles from Tampa, and… -
Re: For only 9.7 mil you can add the "Martin Paul" pedigree to your collection.
I remember Martin Paul bidding at a slew of auctions in the late 1990's and buying 30% to 40% of the auctioned items. I also remember he had a bunch of bidding cards and often didn't know what card to charge a lot to: "make it #628, uh, no, #735, uh, could you change the third last lot over to #849", etc. As a result,… -
Re: Do major submitters get a break at PCGS?
<< <i>To boldly come out and either blatantly or slighly state PCGS grades coins based not on the coin but rather based on the submitter of the coin is, best case, rude and foolish, worse case, purposely dishonest in a vain attempt to forward the poster's personal agenda. Evidence should followed such a bold statement and… -
Re: Still hoping this good turn in events doesn't save Garrett's job.....I WANT HIM GONE!!!!!!
No feces, Sherlock. And you know what? Taking away division games always takes away the same number of wins and losses. And when you do that to a division that isn't craptastic like the NFC East, it shows you that the teams in that division are even better than their records indicate. Do it to the NFC West, for example,… -
