And what if that person has a virtual collection of coins. At least the person has a better hobby than someone that watches reality tv shows and gossips about them after words. At least coins are mostly real with the exception of some of the stuff ebay scammers create. I'm not sure what to call that. -

If I understand the latest story, the original one about inherited coins was a misdirect so as not to tip off the potential deal. Those coins were then supposedly sold. Do some of the people on ebay actually think they are going to sell a "rare" common coin for $10,000, $15,000 or $20,000? Some of the ads are ridiculous and ebay shouldnt even allow them. Ebay needs to get a hand on some of the scammers. It used to be a good place to buy things but you have to be cautious now. -

all of my ebay high dollar shipments are stamped "do not forward, return service requested." My listings clarify that item will not be forwarded and that buyer needs to make sure his paypal shipping address is up to date. Having the delivery address changed once item is in transit is a popular scammer trick. -

Yeah, another newb buying something without doing the due dillagence and not liking the results. And now wants everybody to bombard this scammer with emails. Really not true anymore, as even allowing for the random scumbag seller, eBay offers buyers pretty much foolproof protection, if they open and dispute a case. The burden of dealing with eBay scammers rests pretty much fully on the shoulders of sellers; I'm grateful to be an occasional seller and not have to make my living… -
