Jester, It is a very nice coin, looks like a slider, and a coin I have fancied for several years but never found one for the right "value". Here some facts to consider 1) 1869A has the highest mintage of the 8 years minted at Paris ... 29,000. Next highest 10,000 (1870).. with a total of 68,368. 2) The Strasbourg mint… -

I'm guessing this is what we get when you have a Mint Director coming from the world of TV numismatic telemarketing. Based on this pricing, the whole Mint numismatic operation is now being run as though it was being run by HSN or The Coin Vault.
