Re: Fantastic auctions on Ebay
If you get 3 feedbacks within a certain period you are automatically suspended. Those spammer buyers should be ashamed of that idiotic feedback - based on nothing but their own ignorance. If they - or anyone - had actually gotten some of the purchased material then fine, bang him for non-delivery, bang him for… -
Re: a scam in the making
There is a fine line between trickery and scammery. He states very clearly, "Once again the cards are reproductions so bid accordingly." You'd have to be a complete idiot to bid on these hoping to get the real deal. The real problem is that the buyer is likely a genuine scammer hoping to sell the singles for a profit. BTW,… -
Buying habits due to all the counterfeits…..
As I continue to see amazing coins posted here each day by forum members, I look to broaden my knowledge and collecting by researching and seeking out some of the same coins for myself. I have noticed a huge increase in counterfeits listed on eBay from China. Some of them are scary they are so realistic looking. Now slabs… -
Re: New eBay Return Scam Uncovered
This is absolutely a scam, and it isn't new. The same thing happened to my brother in law when he sold a phone on ebay a few years ago. The scammer sent a return package to a random address in the same town he lives that contained nothing. Ebay sided with the buyer and ended up banning my broth in law's account thinking… -
EBAY SCAMMER Selling baseball cards!!!!!
Just thought I would share this info with all the people I could. I will get into the details later but there is a guy who features pictures of flat rate boxes as his main picture and says to be selling huge lots of cards. He got me for $600 saying this lot was full of cards from the 1940's -2012 and all in great condition… -
Re: oooh, I'm scared -- eBay Scam, am I the only one?
Whatever you do, don't respond to the email; all that does is show that you're a live email address that can be harvested and sold to spammers and scammers. And don't click any hot links in the email itself or you may be trated to a nice keystroke logger, virus or worm. Just forward the whole works with headers if possible… -
Re: NON SPORTS - SIM card protection
A few quickies if I may. I've never been compromised or hacked, so I must be doing something right. 1: I'm not an expert on this, but early in the internet, around the beginning of the century i think it was, I read about I think it's called keystroke loggers or something like that. In various ways, a scammer might be able… -
Re: Selling a 4 figure item using PayPal
I have zero experience using PayPal outside of ebay but based on many social media posts I've read, demanding FF is a red flag as being a scammer, both as a seller and a buyer. If you Google, the AI response is: "Scammers exploit the PayPal Friends and Family (F&F) option because it offers no buyer or seller protection,… -
Re: Update--REALLY HIGH $$$ Fake Bill Russell RC?
<< <i>At least the seller is attempting to be honest... >> I think the seller is trying to make it a scammer friendly auction. He throws enough flags to keep away legit buyers and charge backs. He also kinda leads sammers to draw a conclusion of how easy it would be to list as "Found in gradpa's attic--AS IS, ALL SALES… -
