Just thought I would share this info with all the people I could. I will get into the details later but there is a guy who features pictures of flat rate boxes as his main picture and says to be selling huge lots of cards. He got me for $600 saying this lot was full of cards from the 1940's -2012 and all in great condition and included all the big names Mantle, Paige, Montana,............ I should have known this deal was to good to be true but I fell for it anyway. Immediately, he started having Paypal problems and redirected me to pay at different Email through Paypal. He promised to ship immediately and then when he had money, he was busy suddenly. I kept hounding him for a tracking number and finally got one only to see it was fake! I emailed him and demanded my money back as I could then finally see this was not gonna end well. I heard nothing back and immediately contacted Paypal. Paypal assured me they would take care of me and confirmed the fake tracking number. Fast forward a couple days and I receive a package in the mail that looked like it had been smashed all to hell. It had been partially ripped open (looked intentional) and I could feel right away the box was super light! I took pics (just in case) and decided to peek inside the ripped hole. Inside the box i could see the small flat rate box originally pictured on ebay but it was inside another box and not even closed. I pulled a couple cards to the light and seen there were about 10 cards (all crap) that included late 80's checklists and some players I've never heard of! Luckily Paypal caught the SOB before he could move funds and I was fully refunded!
The seller went by the name brian-luvs-danielle and had zero feedback and had just started his account the day I bought from him.He also had for sale 18 cans of Gerber baby formula....
Fast forward to the next weekend (still pissed and wanting some answers) I checked out his completed Baby formula listing he had when I had bought the cards and decided to click on similar active items. Right away pops up an auction for 19 cans of Gerber baby Formula so I clicked on it and started seeing similarities in listings right away. I then went to check out his other listing and low and behold its not one flat rate box but 4 LARGE ONES! I clicked on the listing and immediately noticed that the listing was so similar to the one I was scammed on and the wording at the end read exactly (CARDS ARE FROM 1940'S-2012 AND ALL IN GREAT CONDITION) . I THEN looked up and seen a user on his first day of Ebay, zero feedback, posted by Ebay Mobile, posted all in cap locks, No returns, and 90% matching description from my SCAM! I called Ebay and reported him as he was doing 1 day auctions and they were ending soon!!!!! I then emailed the crook and told him I had found him again and had just reported him this time to Ebay! Within minutes he cancelled both auctions and made highest bidder the winner!
This time the seller was going by the name u-s-c-t-r-o-j-a-n-s
I just wanted to make everyone aware of this scam so as to not let this dirtbag scam anybody else. I luckily got my money back as Paypal reversed the sale but you might not be so lucky! If you see this guy selling supposed high end cards with only pictures of flat rate boxes please read the info I have provided and see if it looks similar. I want the world to know about this guy as we have to stop these people before they ruin things for everybody!
