Don't even know the guy but I could share his excitment
Attended the Albany NY show today and when I got to JG table (a member) a collector in his 60s was just buying a 16 SLQ. It was a nice unmolested Au 55 and appeared that 10K ( great value) was a big purchase for the collector but was easy to see the excitement on his face. He only needs the overdate now. It just brought… -

Danish [no, Swedish] milk token?

I got this item as part of a larger lot of mostly-US stuff. As far as I can tell, it seems to be a Danish milk token. It "looks old". Does this have any value? Can anyone tell me anything about it? Obverse reads: GRÄNGEBERGS MEJERIFÖRENING around 1 Lit. Reverse reads: CC SPOR[hole]ONG & Co / STOC[hole]OLM -
Detected my new property, haven't been out in 2 years

Well, i figured i'd post just so i feel relevant! I detected my new 6 acre property for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I took the two kids with me, 8yr old son and 5 yr old daughter. We started in the stream bed and found several horseshoes, the kids loved that. We didn't find anything worth running home to mom with and… -
Re: WNBA Caitlin Clark cards…
With Caitlin, I feel like a serious issue may be has the card market for her gotten in front of its skis which is such a typical thing in the sports card world and maybe any type of trading cards. At first I had opinions of the cards that were in line with experiences with other sports cards I collect. I dont watch the… -
My Alamo Coin Show Visit Today

Well, I attended the ACS today in San Antonio, TX. First coin show I've been to since childhood (a long long time ago). I was advised to park close in but everyone else must have got the same tip; because by the time I arrived I parked about 47 miles away . After a little hike, I made it to the entrance and forked out my… -
SHOW REPORT - Central Florida Coin Club Show - ***ANY PLASTIC LOVERS AROUND?***

It's been a whiles since I have written a Show Report, FUN was the last one I think. Well here it goes... I dropped my kids off at school about 8:15 and got on the interstate to head towards the Orlando location. Almost immediately, I ran into a 30 minute traffic delay. Someone decided it would be helpful to roll their… -
Re: Been years since my last post but this is warranted
Great Thread. The other thread about the SGC crossover results might even be better. I have been sending in vintage cards to PSA to grade for 30 years. I have seen mild fluctuations in grading severity over the years that could be attributed to individual grader subjectivity, i.e. it depends on which grader you get.… -
Re: The ancient world

The Nazca lines are in Peru and they are only viewable from the air, meaning you can't see them for what they are unless you are in a helicopter or plane looking down. Why did this ancient civilization create these pictures if you can only see them from the air? The Nazca Lines are a collection of giant geoglyphs—designs… -
Re: Very first trip metal detecting for gold nuggets
Canyon walls can have gold. Searching for gold on the walls is called sniping or crevising (sp?). Do a you tube for such and here's one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zK0YAcfuXK8 Look for "benches" well above the current water line. Here's a story that was told to me by Mr. Nelson back in the early 1960's. Mr. Nelson was…
