I know there are crooks and scammers on both sides of transactions. But, EBAY was fun before they started with all these stupid rules over the last couple of years. I am holding off selling there for a while. With buyers running the show, I am afraid it is going to be too hostile an enviroment. -

Is there any way to protect yourself anymore? I mean really? The reason I liked graded cards was that you know they are legit and unaltered. Now the scammers are faking those now. It makes you trust no one anymore. How can you spot fake graded cards? -

Not that these increases aren't a factor in my decision making to use the EBAY venue or not, more importantly is the lack of a strong sellers protection policy in this online world of thieves and scammers. Whether buying or selling, the traditional coin & currency auction firms are more likely than not to get my business. -

Could be potential scammers buying the next bogus Mantle, or it could be people trying to get what could be a real Mantle for a reprint price. I'm no Mantle expert, but besides the corner trimming, it kinda looks authentic. How much would it be worth in a PSA 1 or AUTH slab? -

You should revise the description to match the opening bid you set, and if it were me I would probably have someone with feedback list it for you. No offense meant, but so many "0" feedback sellers are seen as scammers that it could cost you dollars. Good luck! -

Thanks Bob. I'm one of the good guys & have no problem admitting if I made a mistake. In this case, I was genuinely uninformed. Now try to get the REAL scammers to change their ways within 12 hours or so of being notified they were doing something they shouldn't be doing. -

Good grief! I guess the next thing that Paypal will make sellers do is to video tape the packaging and the delivery to the Post Office and then make us upload it to youtube for verification! Geez! It seems as though the scammers get all of the breaks! All I want is my money back. -

This is kinda what the gold scammers were doing in the 1980s - you would buy gold bullion from them, they would "store" it for you and then you could, in theory, later sell it without ever taking possession of it. So, know you why this kind of thing gets regulated -

There are no post count requirements as far as I know. If you have a low post count, plan on being required to ship the coin before getting paid. We've had cases of low post count scammers selling coins here and not shipping them after getting paid for them.
