1987 Topps has so many awesome rookies. The 88 McGwire card with the RC cup card is cool but its kind of funny that he has 2 iconic "Topps RC" cards before that. I've never considered his any of his 1988 cards rookies. . If you're looking for suggestions I would love to see you open some 84 fleer. Thanks for doing this -

This set is small at 84 cards, so you get ~3 of each player per box. This really is a fun rip. Interestingly, the runs of the exact same pack were clustered together in this box. These cards are beautiful in hand and are a cool departure from standard cards. I had a few key cards show up 4x and some others only 2x. Both… -

So by the time I was crazily into this set it was all about pulling McGwire. Joyner, Canseco were big pulls too, as was Mattingly (anything Mattingly was still white hot coming off the 84-86 insane years). To see that little green nameplate as you slid the card and the McGwire in the fun 87T lettering was such a thrill.… -
