Finally got taken!!!
Sent the payment ....no coin.....now he's NARU'd......e'mail to him bounces back!!! Loser scammer never even mailedd saying he never got payment. Took someone else for a big screen tv!!! How many of us have gotten ripped off doing ebay deals!!! -

I dont have one yet in 445 transactions since jan 1998, but ya never know when one will popup. With all the new ebay rules, and scammers, I do not think I want to sell coins on ebay anymore. think I would rather use the BST -

Sad situation, but all the details muddy the original question. If eBay shuts down his account, he likely will be able to open another eBay account. Hasn't there been a lot of scammers reported on this Board who have had eBay accounts close and yet they later appear with another account? -

Not a coin guy... I'm a card guy... But anyone asking for a refund is automatically a scammer in my books, you either send it back or you keep it you don't be like "Hey this picture is different sorry I didn't ask you about it give me 10% of my purchase back" -

James >> Putting "No Refunds" in the auction discourages scammers, if only slightly. But every little bit helps. -

bjork73, i'm pulling for you to win it so it won't end up in bad hands like the ruth that barf pointed out. it's sad to see when someone is honest and discloses it's trimmed, how many end up in scammer's hands. and they buy and sell on ebay right in front of everyone... brian -

Wow, Russ that is very, very cool. Congrats to Philly Joe (espesically for proving Hall wrong) and to your accented self. Anything ever come out of that newbie's thread, who had the list of coins. Did he turn out to be an obvious scammer? Did I miss anything fun? -

A scammer could purchase a real coin in a legit slab and take pictures of it for his ebay listings copy it times 100 then ship the fakes to the buyer . If it was something like a MS63 morgan in a common date and they were priced right they may not attract a lot of scrutiny.
