Re: 1803/2 $5 Gold Piece
<< <i>This coin has been off & on Ebay for months. There's an 1806 in an NGC F12 holder that's been CAC'd also, which has churned on Ebay for about the same amount of time. Looking at both coins, I'm not quite sure what the folks at CAC were thinking when they pressed those green beans on. While the 1803/2 looks better… -

Re: 1922-D Lincoln Cent, weak D variety?
Please see my message reply. As explained in the book, the mint marks diminished for various reasons, and sometimes went away. In the case of die pair #2, the D was polished down multiple times to eliminate bulges on the die right next to the D, first weakening the D and then, during the last polishing, completely removing… -

Rossie Collectors - I just had graded only the second 80-P in FB POP 2/0
In the middle of a ho-hum submission So its a POP 2/0 now, both FB coins are MS64FB. I thought it was a tad better than 64, but not surprised at MS64. I wish PCGS would update the bonus points for FB coins, a 2 pt bonus, when after years of submissions only two are found and it gets the same bonus as a 2010 - go figure. -

Re: Type 2 SBA?
I hope this will help. Since this has come up a few times in various forums, here's an excerpt from an e-mail I sent to BJ by request of a board member a couple days ago. Hope this helps clear things up, particularly for PCGS type set collectors. Numbers before the date are the PCGS coin numbers. --------- NARROW RIM: 9571…
