Re: The NTC Experiment---or---is NTC as bad as we give them credit for?
Yeah I remember when that girl bought that 95-O Morgan. She's not a grumpy old hardcore cynical 30+ years in the Morgans like us that can spot a problem coin a mile away. All she was trying to do was make a ½ way decent set of Morgans because she really liked Morgans & she thought a slab was a slab and that meant it was ok… -
Re: How much do I love ebay!
I've only had one card from gem elite - an 87 fleer bonds that I bought in a collection. Of course, PSA rejected it. That was 2-3 years ago when I was just getting into this. The other day I found it in my closet and had to laugh. When I measured it, the card measured a full 1/32" less vertically on the right border than… -
Re: E-bay Seller Trying Too Hard on The Sell Job?
Took about 20 minutes to create the master pieces, of blue, purple, pinkish-red, and gold. No seasonings, but maybe I should have tried one in a bake potato, I recall hearing that helps with the colors. Now kids, this was just for fun, and it was on AU circulated state quarters, and don't ever destroy a nice coin… -
Cameo half acquired today.
I stopped by a local shop today and broused. Spotted a 1964 proof set and asked to look at it. The penny through quarter are run of the mill. However, the half (not AH) has nicely frosted cameo devices on both sides and smooth watery mirrored fields. Not a DCAM, but a coin that is very pleasing to look at. Picked up the… -
Re: USPS delays
Current USPS delays are the worst I've ever seen. Priority Mail - which has and continues to rapidly increase in price - really used to be 2 to 3 days. The expecyed delivery date used to be spot on. Its a week on average now. I mauked a Priority package less than 100 miles on Friday right from a huge hub post office.… -
Re: Standard & Poors ratings agency has just downgraded the U.S. debt outlook to negative
<< <i>According to Santelli, there simply is no place else for so much money to run, so it's either US debt or EU debt. It's simply a question of recognition of the problem. I was out mowing my yard and there was only one spot that I missed when I did my pre-mowing patrol. Boy, did TSHTF!!! >> I feel your pain Jmski! Verry… -
Re: The six coin Verdi-gone trial is
On the most mild one it did seem to get rid of much of the verdegris. The other ones look hopeless and have more problems than minor verdegris. Not to knock the experiment or the stuff. It looks like the coins that would benefit are ones that are otherwise ok but just starting to get verdegris. (caught in the early stage)… -
Re: I have my first buyer dispute **UPDATE, I LOST** UPON FURTHER REVIEW....I WON :)

<< <i>BTW, how was Gatlinburg this past weekend? The weather wasn't too bad down the mountain a few miles. >> Overall it was great! I didn't make it to the card store as much as I would have liked to due to icey roads leading down from our cabin. We went to a spot we always visit the next day. It is almost to the top(… -

Re: Anyone else win 5 trophies/awards in one season ?
> > I apologize. +/- might have some value if you adjust the circumstances. I tried for the 6th time to read what you posted and for the 6th time I gave up with a massive headache. Your analysis may be spot on, but people here aren't doing anything but regurgitating stats. They are looking for a number that proves one…
