Re: PSA 1 with no qualifiers!
Wow, that's a darn nice "1". The nicest "1" I ever saw, though, was a PSA 1 '71 Topps Yaz. It looked GEM MINT, and the reason for the "1" was a tiny pin hole that was obscured near some of the lettering. One of you on the board may own it. It was around a few years ago that the auction for it was on Ebay. I should have bid. -
1963 $1 FRN District Set

Your basic 12 note District Set. Twelve notes representing all of the Federal Reserve Banks that help distribute our paper currency. This particular set includes nine Mules, which is not unusual for this series. Small-size Federal Reserve notes made their first appearance in 1928 but oddly did not include the $1… -
Re: 1956 proof Franklin Type 1 and Type 2 comparison image.
<< <i>Aside from the Type 1 being less common, what's the value difference between the two. In what grade does it become a GREAT RIP? >> In average brilliant, not a whole lot. PR68 and PR69, the spread widens quite a bit, but the Type 1 still won't make you rich. Where the bucks are is in cameo and deep cameo. The Type 1… -
Wanted: 1877 CC Trade $1 in XF and/or 1878 CC Trade $1 in VF-XF

Re: Amazing how 1 digit in a serial number adds $300+ in value
It is a common type of 10 oz poured bar. The extra digit is a curiosity but I wonder if the buyer can ever recover the premium. I checked my inventory and found I have the following bars with an extra "1" digit: 1-203223 1-203190 1-203161 246984-1 When purchasing them I paid not much more than $5 per ounce over the then… -
