If, at the end of all this, Jon got paid then it was NOT a scam and no matter how shaky the deal came together it did in the end. So to call him a scammer would be wrong- and an apology should be given. -

and what his email address is these days? for those who are not aware, he is a thief (probably worse then Nomar). He lives in San Diego. (I have heard of at least 3 scammers being in that area) -

You are new here and have a post count of one. No one will want to buy from you unless you are willing to ship the coins first to a well established forum member. We've had scammers sell coins here and then disappear after being paid without ever sending the coins to the buyer. -

Good question, I have heard in the past of a couple of “scammers” on that board but also have heard of a lot of easy transactions. I would try to sell a few items on that board but who can you trust? -

I'm in the same boat - was active in the 80's and 90's and hadn't thought much about collecting for two decades. Didn't realize the companies kept making cards of Puckett after he retired/died. As for all the parallels, I just can't justify buying the same card in 5-6 different colors etc.. I buy the base card and maybe… -

PayPal helps these people to operate $20 at a time. You gotta love not only the scammers but the businesses who charge $20, $30, $40 to do a simple electronic transaction. Edited from eBay to PayPal -

Yes, I've heard of it and use it. It is hardly new, it is nearly as old as ebay. They must be doing well because they started charging fees recently. I believe it is 2% of the selling prices. The scammers aren't there yet.
