Anyone heard of ebid.net?

A buddy texted me the other day about a new auction site he discovered. Anyone here use this site? If yes, what's your experience?

I have. Once upon a time, while I was sick of eBay (still am), I looked for alternatives. eBid.net was one of them. I never bought anything on there (yet), but I imagine that before doing so, one should check out the customer service and get a sense of how legit the company/website is before exchanging money on there.

Nevah hoyd of it, nope. Seen a few commercials for "Beezid" which I think is also a ".net" domain.

So far eBay continues to ride the incomparable tsunami wave known as "first to market." Much like Apple and Microsoft, and IBM for that matter (how are they still in business?!?) I seriously doubt eBay will ever declare chapter 11.

Yes, I've heard of it and use it. It is hardly new, it is nearly as old as ebay. They must be doing well because they started charging fees recently. I believe it is 2% of the selling prices. The scammers aren't there yet.

I buy from eBid occasionally. I actually found some pretty good deals. Never sold on them before.

Check their customer service? Does it actually get "worse" than eBay?

    Why can't it?
Besides, even if it was a ten points better than eBay on a 1-100 scale, it'd still be awful.
