Re: Heads up
<< <i>I don't get it?? That is a huge premium over spot; is there a perceived or real numismatic value to these? Curious...... Miles >> I am wondering the same thing. Almost all of my silver is in the form of generic 10 oz bars at only modest premiums over spot. Why would stackers pay so much above spot for silver bullion? -
Re: [P0CKETCHANGE P1CKS—April 2024] Blast White Silver Dollar Edition: Peace, Morgan, Eisenhower OGH CAC
Just received P0CKETCHANGE’s 68 Ike and I can’t express enough about how pleased I am with this coin. I have looked at no kidding, probably over 500 68 Ike’s for my type set over the last several months and every single one was meh - until now. This piece is outstanding. Clean all around with an virtual absence of marks… -
Re: Three tornados within 10 minutes of me yesterday.

I vividly remember watching an f4 tornado form from my porch in 2009 in Murfreesboro TN. My wife and I were watching the weather, and they showed possible formation in our area. I stepped out onto the porch and saw it circling and start to lower, as houses started sucking up into it. Our power shut off right as I was… -
Re: Recent grading results: Have we turned the corner?
NGC has also tightened up IMO. Question is how do we get all those coins that are in gem holders with milk spots and other strange discoloring problems into their proper grades. Couple of PCGS Pf 67 DCam 1952 nickels come to mind and there is no incentive to fix the problem. Buyer beware ! Incidentally those are really… -
Re: What a sweet coin. 28-P Peace.
I like Seated $s, and one day, hope to own a Bust $. I don't own any Peace Dollars because I've rarely seen one that I've considered to be attractive. The ones I've seen are typically dipped out and / or have milk spots. Your coin is a nice exception to that. It looks original, and it's relatively even toning gives it… -
Re: ASE set's seem to be levelling off
<< <i> << <i>I sold my last PCGS set w/milkspots for around $670 just last week. >> Was the buyer aware of the milk spots? If so, perhaps people don't care as much about them as I imagined. >> Oh yes, I make sure they know what they're getting. I even said "all sales final" and they still bid them up. I think it's also… -
Re: Ever seen a perfect 71 Kennedy proof?
I'm no fan of milk spots or cloudy toning. Both of these coins are guilty of one or both sins. The 1971 Proof sets were among the worst sets the mint ever issued. It was just a dull, lack-luster, boring issue. When they took the silver out of half dollar, the interest went down too. The coins were not well made either. A… -
Re: DMPL Morgan Collectors Please Help Me Out

Searching for the nice B&W cameo contrasted DMPL can be far and few between. Look for depth of clarity in the fields, originality, and nice frosted devices (pre 1900). Try to avoid coins that look like like they have been dipped, it could show up with residue somewhere on the coin later on. This happened to a PCGS 1883-CC… -
Re: What a total weiner!!!!!!!

<< <i> << <i>Do buyers of popular precious metal investment coins need added protection from the federal government when they make purchases? With Gold Buffalo Proofs selling for $1810. each, at a time when gold is at the $1530 level, I think our government has enough padded protection in place for it's people. >> Hello,…
