The "Spots" you are talking about going by the picture do not look like PVC. If the picture is accurate it only looks like the normal spots that these Peace dollars get from the wash at the mint. I call them milk spots. Probably not a correct term but that's the term I use. -

I’m amazed at the number of different problems are showing up. Dings ,scratches,scrapes,spots,unusual strikes and now this. My WW2 ase has a long spot like yours but more milk spotty. 🤨. My cc has a spot or something like it on the field. Not as large as yours but troubling 😳 -

Some 20 years ago I bought a ton (not literally) of milk-spotted ASEs paying spot. I'm selling them now for a substantial premium. The spots have turned into tarnish, some colorful. I would not buy ASEs for the current premium, but I have often been wrong. -
PD Question
General Questions about PD. I have at least 5-6 60s cards at varying high condition levels. They have print marks on them. Without the marks, they would range from Ex-Mt to Mint 1. Is there a rule of thumb of how many grades marks knock down a card (roller marks, ink spots)? Nothing major. Some are barely noticeable and…
