Re: Can you trust a forum member?
It would be foolish to trust somebody simply because they are a member of this board! Scammers are here just like on sleazeBay. 12,000 members worldwide here, you think every one of them is honest? At least on sleazeBay somebody has to have a credit card or a real email address. Anything goes here. If I'm selling I don't… -
Re: I wonder how many around here can say this?

<< <i> I have cooked, fried (literally), chemically exposed, tooled, holed and etched countless coins. I have never submitted to a grading service nor sold any of the coins I have subjected to any of the conditions stated above and never will. Ok so you haven't sold any coins and you never will. But when your gone someone… -
Bad Ebay Dealer Warning - pjsbullpen
I ordered a 2004 Playoff Contenders FB Case and after two months he didn't deliver. I contacted my credit card and they corrected the problem. I tried Paypal first, but they told me I was SOL since it was over 45 days. However as soon as my credit card got involved, Paypal magically wanted to fix the problem. My advice is… -
Poll: Does this forum influence prices of coins at auction?
In a tangentially related thread earlier this week, Coinguy1 asked what is our responsibility, as a community, to sellers of coins that are currently being auctioned. What obligation do we owe to sellers/owners of coins listed on Ebay, those offered my major auction firms or on dealer websites, when making comments here?… -

Re: My package arrived at PCGS empty. Shipped with FedEx.
That is really awful that happened. I hope you recover your loss. I have sent submissions via USPS no problems. I insure accordingly. Couple months ago I had a $45 eBay coin purchase overdue. PCGS 69 ASE. This was when facility shutdown for a week. My item was put in the wrong POB. It ended up in mine a week later.… -
Diversion

Again, nothing to do with cardboard, but really amusing. www.419eater.com These are the guys who try to get away with the "Nigerian Bank Account Scam". Basically, thousands of people are trying to do this, so some people in the States play along with thema nd get them to do stupid things, and take some funny pictures with… -
Re: Most Valuable Unopened
I remember typing that, and on second review before posting, adding the "when the card is in hand." That was because from say an Ebay scan of a raw card, it can sometimes be difficult to determine the authenticity and/or problems with the card. Even just the feel of the cardboard of a raw card, can often be a telltale sign… -
Re: Selling coins on EBAY
I did not sign up for Managed Payments and am reluctant to give eBay more control over my sales. I'm still selling- previously listed auctions that roll over. Payments by PayPal only. I've had two scammers hit me in the last year. On the first one, the guy claimed he didn't order the item. Two months after he left…
