      It's done with a soft wire brush or wheel and imparts a false "luster" look to the coin. I'm not sure if all of the brushing is done in one direction, or if it's random, or circular.

      Probably struck from a false die made by impacting a normal 1955 cent into the end of a rod of heat-softened steel twice. Couldn't say for sure without seeing it.

      I'm sorry, but I don't get it- cut off the hands of the guilty of trying to sell a known counterfeit or the tongues of the ones who "falsely reported it"? Your friend had a listing removed as counterfeit- do the due diligence and either stand by it or don't but get over it...

      To those that believe it was spam my understanding of "spam" is simple: an attempt under false pretense or ignorance to direct attention in hopes of personal gain. I believe that was accomplished.

      That's what has gotten my adopted team, the Bucks, to the playoffs. The rest of the division is so bad, the Bucks "fall into the playoffs." That might change this year. New Orleans looked good against Dallas playing the Cowboys at home. The game against the "Carolina Kittens" didn't count, but Dallas got my attention.
