Re: Would you be in favor of invisible permanent ID numbers on coins?
<< <i>Conder, I know you would buy the coin, not the serial number. >> So true, but in the senario I described I was doing the selling not the buying. (Of course "I" wouldn't do that, but I could very easily see some of these less ethical coin doctors, artificial toners, etc doing such a scam. Especially if the grading… -
Re: Now THIS is an Ebay scam - updated 5-6-2003
pontiacinf, In answer to your question - I have had my primary Ebay ID for years, and, until recently, had no neutral or negative feedback. I now have two negatives, each from scammers I busted recently, but, I still have well over 100 positives. I had hoped that the two scammers would just slither away without giving me… -

Re: TO ALL THOSE WHO REPORT "HIGH" SHIPPING
But for now it just lets everyone know I bang my customers out on shipping while saving them on the bottom line..... How does screwing them on shipping save on their bottom line?? Smart bidders will simply figure the S/H into their maximum bid, while others will simply refuse to pay for an item with an extremly high… -

Re: Need the opinion of an expert. Misprinted dollars

Here is your first picture post. These pictures look exactly like photo copies, the back side pictures lack any level of detail. You can't even see the leaves on the trees~ they look just like green blobs you would see from a photo copy. The Capitol building lacks the required detail of an engraving. The front picture of… -
Re: ALERT !! Tyler Doubled Edge Lettering - Overlapped - ALERT !!
It is kinda screwy but it is what it is. I've posted it before but here's the layout: Position A (BTW, this "letter positioning variety" was in direct response to scammers calling them errors and selling them as such) Position B (BTW, this "letter positioning variety" was in direct response to scammers calling them errors… -
Re: Calling 80's wax pack experts (not named Gary)
A couple hints for examining wax packs that I've pieced together through the years. 1) The seal. These were made by literally melting the wax in the paper. A re-sealed pack might be too tight because it was made with glue. Or it might have been sealed with an iron or something that was too hot and left a brown burn. 2) The… -
Re: POLL: Do you accept returns on slabbed coins you sell on eBay?
<< <i>A PayPal purchase funded with a credit-card obviates virtually ANY "no refund policy." >> So even though you know you know it's technically meaningless, you have a "no-return" policy for slabbed coins. I don't get it. An experienced scammer is going to know your policy is BS and ignore it if he wants to scr*w you.…
