If I saw an HGA graded card, the first thing I would think is that it was counterfeit or tampered with. It would take a lot to even get me to examine the card closely or try to figure out if HGA was a legitimate company. I suspect I'm far from unusual. -

I don't have many, and couple of the graders (HGA) are iffy, but they are mine and aren't going anywhere. My two favorite (HGA of course) are the two 2001 Topps Chrome. I really want raw versions of both, but I'm too much of a tight wad to pay the asking prices. -

CGA has disappointed me too often. Yes - grading is somewhat subjective but i've seen CGA graded notes marked as some form on UNC when they are clearly not. eBay has taken a stand against showing CGA graded notes (they hide the CGA). FGA grading
Not only did they "grade" this counterfiet card, they also made up a name for it as well ..."Type 2" What makes this one fake is the absence of the BK logo that should be on the top right corner of the card. link -
