WTB - 2011 SHAWNEE NATION $1 Silver Proof "Great Comet"

I have long since completed the BU amd PF set for the Shawnee Nation. However, this one issue has eluded me. No rarer than any of the others, available in abundance. I had passed on a few in the past because of milk spots, something than I had never seen on any other Shawnee proofs. At this point, just any reasonable one… -
What can I expect to get for common date, cleaned or marked ASE's?

Re: A steal on e-Bay!!!

It's a steal because of the lack of feedback. And the crappy pics that do not show any milk spotting on the coins... I have seen these close with better pics and a solid feedback for a little more. And these sets are discussed on this forum often....Some members are quick to boot you over to the PM forum. This is… -
Re: PCGS's Downgrade Resubmission service
I don't believe that there is such a service by that name. What you are asking about is the grade guarantee/guarantee resubmission service wherein a coin can actually receive a lower grade if it was simply overgraded or has developed issues after it was holdered which won't support the original grade. Doctoring by puttying… -
Re: A serious suggestion to David Hall and PCGS................
<< <i>I have no knowledge regarding this subject. Keep this in mind when I make the following comments.... It seems to me that the grade issued should be for the grade the coin is in when it is graded, not what it could be should a problem develop. >> In a vacuum, sure. However, they already know that the coins are prone… -
Re: Palestine Mandate coins

Hi Marc, Well, after carefully looking over my collection, it does seem that my 1940 1 MIL needs an upgrade from AU. I also need a better 1942 10 MILS CN (mine although UNC, has unsightly carbon spots on the obverse). As far as 20's go, I need to upgrade my 1933 and 1934's (from their current VF status), my UNC 1935 has… -
Re: Ladies & Gentlemen, Hurry, Hurry, Hurry, Step right up, guess the PCGS grade!
Sorry, if I am short on patience tonight in light of the result, behold in all its glory a 1954 PR-63! Jeff, conservatively I thought, graded this a PR-65 CAM. I thought it to be a PR-66 CAM. But, there you have it ... I have been off a point either way or missed a non-CAM/CAM or CAM/DCAM designation on raw coins before,… -
Re: A "CoinSniffer" question.

<< <i>Who in thier right mind would even want to "dip" a proof or cameo coin in the first place? if it has been stored properly or slabbed it should not get dirty,or if buying one look at it first if it needs to be dipped then don't buy it ,move on and get a clean one- >> It does keep modern silver proofs from milk… -
Re: What coins have dropped in value most in the last few years?
ASE 2016-S San Fransico Labels FDOI and 2016-P Plillidelphia Green Label FDOI American Silver Dollar PCGS 70 graded coins. Paid a bunch Probably worth $36.00 now loss of investment. Not to mention when will the milk spots form? They will melt value when that happens. Mike Mesiak guaranteed they would be a good investment. -
Re: As much of the air has come out of the MS/PR 70 grade...
<< <i>the idea that flippers are looking for new ways to "add value" to modern coins is overtly unsettling. they've got their fancy and custom labels, they've got their signatures on the tag, now they want the "grades" to go higher than 70? >> Not my game. I do my best to stay away from the 70's and their never ending milk…
