I've seen that look, that you described, on quarters from that era ('69, '70). Close enough to common that I wouldn't pay more than a buck or two premium, if that. The SAE....if no milk spots, no fingerprints, and natural toning...sure, get it. -

I will politely disagree. Consider milk spots. One prevailing theory is that they are due to planchet preparation but don't immediately show up. Why couldn't fly specs have a similar origin: some planchet defect or contamination that darkens later? -

I saw that and passed but you got it for a good price! it look like it had very little small milk spots all over it. that the pic.at the top of the page, i could not see them on the pic. at the lower part of the page. littlejohn -

None of my ASE's are spotted or milked. Why? Because they are vacuum sealed. No environment to interact with. I have ASE's that have been sealed for 6 years, no nothing. My 20th Anniv. Sets, look like they where just minted. -

There are many other sellers who will put up a MS 70 slabbed coin, auction it and the one u get us not the piece pictured put some garbage piece with milk spots or even pvc. Here your being dumped on. -

on this forum are many examples of PCGS buying the coin from the person who sent it in for review for a fair market price. they must have a metric ton of silver rounds with milk spots waiting to be paid out! i do not know for ngc. -
