      Nothing is said about how the silver planchets were rinsed to remove the cream of tartar and then dried. Anybody want to bet that it is the cause of the milk spots found on Peace dollars and 1921 Morgans?

      I.m going to check my ASE's and dip them in acetone, then check them in 20 years [or my heirs will {probably not} ] and let you know if that helped in preventing milk spots. :smile:

      Wow. Amazing prices on modern stuff. I bought one set and stuck it away. Looked the other night at it and no milk spots..Yay! My reverse proof is at least 69, IMHO.

      It SHOULD be right on the spot!! Need I cite all the ones that always are? Come on guys. Who needs to work up a sweat walking over there? I worked up enough of one signing my coins over to Heritage yesterday. Not a mile or .75 miles away. Carrying coins? Forgrt it. Can't be heavy when you fly in.

      I would not worry about it. What is the worst that could happen? Some toning? For sure that wood box isn't the source of the ASE milk spots! Big frigging deal! Besides it will keep the moths away!
