Reminded not to put certified notes in case in sun
I was at the Stormville flea market in NY today. A fellow showed me two notes he had sent in to PCGS to have certified; a Bison note graded VF20 and a Woodchopper graded as a VF30. Unfortunately he had both of them out in a glass case before in the sun which cause the PCGS certified notes to crinkle and get very likely… -
Re: Here's a weather forecast for the lower 48 that would make you want to cozy up with your coins!
I actually really hate the weather here in the Chicago area lately. No snow now for 40 days, all temp's above normal, all temps above freezing. The reason I hate this weather is in the Winter the weather is so bad I can't make it to the many, many coin shows around here. With this type of weather I have been going to 3… -

Re: Show dealer arrested
Don't they have to PROVE that he KNOWINGLY purchased stolen goods ? Just because he SHOULD have known or SUSPECTED isn't the same as knowingly purchased stolen stuff. I made a post way back in 2007 about a nice rack case that I ripped - centering was great, but gloss/color was mediocre. Had some perfectly centered Fernandos but no luck..... Here is what I wrote: **Grades were absolutely disastrous. Every common here was a 50/50 shot at a 10 (at least they were perfect under my loupe) -… -

Great day at the flea markets
Just thought I'd brag about a great day at the flea markets. Went to 2 different ones this morning and really nothing at the first except cold, damp feet. At the second there was a man that I've only seen selling once before and all coins. I bought the following from him: Washington Quarter 1960 Roosevelt Divmes 1946, 47,… -
